APRIL 14, 1977 TERRACE BAY NEWS 'PAGE 3 The Terrace Bay Police Force was called upon to investigate twenty-three (23) oc- currences during the period from April 4th to April 10th. The occurrences of major concern to the ; force were the broken windows at the Recrea- tion Centre and at St. Martin School. During the night of April 9th, five windows were smashed at the Recreation Centre and two were smashed at the school. Any information re- ; ceived regarding the above mentioned vandalism will be treated in the strictest confidence .., by your police force. : The morphine drug as reported in last weeks news report is not missing or stolen. The error in the drug count was noticed very quickly and there is no cause for alarm. . The police force still has in its posses- ; sion two bicycles. 1 - Eaton's Cobra, 10 speed, blue in colour. 1 - Majestic boy's bike, green in colour. If these articles are not identified and claimed by the owners, they will be sold in accordance with the Ontario Police Act. The police force will be providing a baby . Sitters course beginning this Friday. For this first course, ten students from each of the two elementary schools will be selected. Continued page 6 ...... President, Helen Brooks chaired the meeting and Margaret Anne Clough read the Scriptures. : : Joanne Moore read the minutes of the last general meeting. Correspondance included thank-you notes to the Sick and Visiting com-~ mittee for cards received. The treasurers report was presented by Peggy Thompson and donations were given to the Canadian Bible Society, Canadian Cancer Society and money received from "The Gospel Road" film, after expenses were paid were don- ated to "Share" feed the hungry programme. An informal discussion followed on what a dol- lar means to "Share". This was appreciated by all those present. Projects for the future were listed. first will be a Rummage Sale in May . Miss Susan Barnett who was the Queen re- Presentative for the Terrace Bay Winter Carni- val received a book from the Ladies Auxiliary. Guests for the May 2nd meeting will be " members of the St. John Ambulance Brigade with Mr. Ed Trapp who will be demonstrating "Acci- dents in the home".
