Ne WEEKLY REPORT NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO SPORTS COUNCIL ANNUAL MEETING: The Recreation Office has received infor- mation on the annual meeting of the Northwes- tern Ontario Sports Council, which will be held Friday and Saturday, April 15th and 16th, at the Airlane Motel in Thunder Bay. Anyone who might.want to receive more information on this annual meeting can simply contact the Recreation Office. RINGETTE EXHIBITION GAMES: At the time of this write-up, arrangements were being made for possible Ringette games with Manitouwadge once more. The proposed date for the games would be Monday, April 11th. TERRACE BAY RECREATION DEPARTMENT SUMMER STAFF The Recreation Office has received a number of enquiries recently regarding summer staff positions with our Department. The various summer staff positions will be advertised in the Terrace Bay News next Wednesday, April 13th. Anyone interested in a position with the Department will have to submit a written application according to the directions in the ad in next week's paper. COMING EVENTS: Saturday, April 9th - The Terrace Bay Ski Club will be open from 1 to 2 p.m. Please pick up your equipment. Any equipment left will be sold. If you are unable to come and pick up your equipment, please phone 825-3502 for further information. Thursday, April 21st, and Friday, April 22nd - Advance ticket sale 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Schreiber Town Hall for the McCausland Hospi- tal Batl. Thursday, April 21st ~ Advance ticket sales for McCausland Hospital Ball, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Terrace Bay Recreation Centre. Saturday, May 7th - McCausland Hospital Annual Ball "A Touch of Spring", Terrace Bay High School, 9:00 p.m.. to. 1:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 26th - La Leche League meeting, 8:00 p.m. For information phone Nicole Mockler at 825-9255. POLICE REPORT FROM MARCH 28 TO APRIL3 On March 28th, Cebrario's Hardware was broken into and a sum of money was removed 3 from the till. Entry was gained by smashing a small window at the rear of the building. This matter is under police investigation. Also on March 28th, a motorist was clocked on police radar, speeding 80 miles per hour in a posted 40 mile per hour zone. Charges have been laid in this case. A quantity of morphine may have been stolen from the McCausland Hospital as on a recent drug count, 100 ampules of the drug cannot be accounted for and is missing. On April 1st, police investigated a Break- in at the Imperial Restaurant where an amount of money was removed from the till. Two adults and one juvenile have been charged with this offence and will appear in court on April 14. Also, on April 1st, a large plate glass window was smashed at Soughton's Jewelers. No * merchandise was taken from the store although some china was smashed. This wilful damage is still under police investigation. On the morning of April lst, a motorist from White River was charged with impaired driving and will appear in court on April 14. A set of wheels were stolen from a-'welder at the construction site.
