FEBRUARY 16, 1977 TERRACE BAY NEWS "PAGE 7 LADIES AUXILIARY LEGION BRANCH 223 MEETING: 'The regular monthly meeting was held on Monday, January 31st with a small attendance on hand. Correspondance included a letter from the girls Ringette Club asking for the use of the hall to hold a bingo to raise funds. It was decided to write a letter suggesting we do- nate cards for a "Home Bingo". A donation of money was sent -to the T.B. Christmas Seal foundation. A letter of appreciation was received from the Men's Branch for the donation of money pre -sented at the Remembrance Day Supper. The Legion Convention will be held in Thunder Bay, at the Red Oak Inn on June 12th to::15th. A two minute silence and a prayer was said in memory of Win McKechnie who passed away on January 10th. WINTER CARNIVAL The 1977 Winter Carnival buttons have arrived and a door-to-door canvass will be made some- time during next week (the week of February 21st). WEEKLY REPORT Oo bY CHILDREN'S ART COURSE: - The Terrace Bay Recreation Department, in conjunction with the Terrace Bay Art Club, is pleased to announce that another Children's Art Programme will be held, starting Saturday, February, 26th. Please refer to the ad on rage 10 for further details concerning this programme. It should be noted, however, that those children who registered for the last course and were not able to get in due to the enrollment reaching its maximum, will be given priority for this Art programme. .RINGETTE SKATE-A-THON : The Terrace Bay Ringette Association will be holding a Skate-a-thon in order to raise funds for their organization.
