The meet-~ ing opened with the Guide Prayer. Marilyn Saranpaa welcomed the new leaders. Guides and Brownies have the following leaders: Pack 1 - Marilyn Saranpaa,, Barbara Lalonde. Pack 2 - Barbara'Wise, Gail Pollard and Lois MacRae. Guides - Marilyn Saranpaa, Pam Jones and Miss Isle Smith.' Cadets Carla Crockford and Diane -Jones will help in the Guiding movement. One more adult is required to help with Pack 1. The Commissioner is Marilyn Saranpaa. Di- anna Stachiw is in charge of registration and Dorothy Dakin is handling uniform exchange. Both Brownie packs will meet on Tuesday in the Community Church and the Scout Hall. Dorothy Dakin was thanked for auditing the books. Marilyn Saranpaa gave a short report on the Senior Guide and Ranger Rally held at 3 finger Lake September 12th - 14th weekend. Pam Jones also gave a short report on her trip with Guiding on the Move. Mrs. Irene Steen has Geranium plants for the Brownies to put into Centennial Park next year. Both packs will grow Hyacinth bulbs as Golden Band tests. Uniforms' for the leaders were discussed. The navy blue dress uniform and the white shirt and navy blue skirts will be optional this season. Many men and women in Terrace Bay have kin- dly offered their assistance in helping to do test work for badges for Guides and Brownies. In early October three films will be shown at a combined night for Packs 1 and 2. Cook- ies and Koolaid made by Golden Hand Brownies will be served. Before closing Commissioner Saranpaa taught an action song to the new Guiders.
