We started the year off with a pre- teen dance. The evening was successful and prizes were won for various novelty dances. Andrew Gramatowski won the door prize which was an Elton John album. Carol Moore 'and Marshall Northcott won the freeze dance. The next week an overnight 'sleepin' was enjoyed by the 7-I2 year old girls. Bedtime for some happened to be in the late hours of the morning - but other wise all went well. A lemonade stand in front of Costa's kept -the 4-6 year olds busy one sunny morning. They proved to be pretty convincing salesmen. The local bowling alley was well put to use as both the 7-12 year old boys and the 7-12 year old girls tested their bowling skills. For the boys David McBride had high score and Gordie Miller bowled the low score. Joyce Kurylo bowled the high score and Kathy Ramsay had the low score for the girls. The I0-12 year old boys enjoyed an after- noon of canoeing at Canoe Lake last Thursday. = { ITER SOT ITE 0Gw wi They were taught the various aspects of canoe- | ing including how to tip and bail out a canoe.
