So far as is known, Bok is the only one from the district to take this course. Mary Jo Ryan has returned from a round of visiting relations in Kingston, Niagara Falls, St. Catharines and other points in the east. Mrs. Nellie Gerow is visiting her daughter Mrs. Etta Gray' in Thunder Bay. Ir. and Mrs. Alfredo Spadoni of Kitchener visited their many relatives here this week and old friends. Council is opposed to the proposed increase by Ontario Hydro municipal users of 30% for 1976, 25%. for 1977 and 20% for 1978 and will urge local customers to register their concern with the Ontario Hydro, Minister of Energy and local Hydro. The clerk was instructed to process applic- ations to the Ontario Municipal Board concern- ing installation of a water line and sewage on Peary and Langworthy Streets, and to secure signatures of lot owners willing to accept the foot frontage and connection charges of sewers. It was reported Mrs. Helen Bulna has refus- ed an offer of $25,000 from the town for lots on Peary and Langworthy Streets. The application of Girolamo Figliomeni and Sons to establish a trailer court on Newman St. was tabled until further information is received from this company regarding the pro- ject. } Information received included: Ministry of Natural Resources, re their drawing up an agreement whereby Schreiber will be paid the $85,000 promised by the Ministry; the Provin- cial Liason Committee re the re-locating of the crossing on Main St. - the matter has been referred to the Ministry of Transporta- tion and Communications; The Ministry of the Environment concerning the age of the chlorine plant installed by the CPR for town water line, suggesting the town at once secure parts for the plant.
