The Knights of Columbus Award was won by Connie Morriseau. Special achievement awards for a particular subject were presented to various students: to Grant McDonald for History; to David ~ lapenskie for Geography; Stephen Falzetts for Mathematics; Terry Aylward for French and Lita McDonald for English. Odette and Maureen Haas have successfully completed their Grade I Royal Conservatory Piano, Both passed with lst class honours, Odette and Maureen were instructed by Mr, Peter Vanderkam of Terrace Bay. Marriage vows were pledged by Irene Marguerite Bolan and Wolfgang Herbet Melshior on July 6th, 1974, HOMES FOR THE AGED PRESS RELEASE A regular meeting of the Board was held in Birchwood Terrace beginning at noon on June 27, 1975. All seven Board members were in attendance. The Board members were given a tour of the building and were introduced to the heads of staff of Birchwood Terrace. Prior to the four hour Board meeting, the members enjoyed a Lake Trout dinner. y Accounts totalling $99,097.72 were passed for payment. The Board members requested that they have more time to review the acc- ounts. These will be sent out for their re- view prior to the next Board meeting. Seven applications were received and apprcv -ed for admittance when space is available. Four for Birchwood Terrace and three for Pine- wood Court. The Board also approved the in- stallation of new cupboards in the craftroom at Pinewood Court at a cost not to exceed $500.00. The Ministry had requested some changes in the capital equipment at Birchwood Terrace. .
