It was my pleasure Saturday afternoon to be called upon by two Schreiber gentlemen, who refer to themselves as "Silly 01d Coots". Silly Old Coots or not, these two outdoors--- men whose ages total close to I30 years and who walk for health and pleasure, decided it was time to take a walk for a purpose. Having given the matter some thought and both being concerned about the financing of the new hospital, the purpose became "The McCausland Hospital Building Fund". They con- tacted neighbours and friends in Schreiber who generously sponsored them on their I8 mile re- turn trip to Bear Lake. "The walk was a breeze", so. they say, and this little health jaunt realized them $53I.00 which they proudly turned in during their vis- it. If this isn't community spirit, what is? Shouldn't we, each one of us, be inspired by the example set by these two men? Shouldn't we, each one of us, become aware we too, have a job to do? Our hospital needs our interest, our action and our contributions if it is to become a reality. Russ Macadam and Denny Neylon are aware of this. Are We? Why Not? = Rena McAdam The teenagers thoroughly enjoyed the group and want to try to get them again when they pass through Terrace Bay in four months times on their way home.
