HOSPITAL BOARD MEETING The McCausland Hospital Board of Governors held a regular monthly meeting on January 22, I974, in the Schrejber Municipal Office. Frank Anderson, Chairman-Development Com- mittee reported on his meeting with Dr. Dain- ard, Medical Advisor to the Thunder Bay Home Care Program. Don Beno read the minutes of the last Finance Committee meeting and announced that they have scheduled a meeting with the Schreiber Council to discuss financing of capital improvements to the hospital. The Public Relations Committee proposed the date of April I7, 1974 for the Annual Meeting and this was acceptable to the full Board. The Administrator will arrange for a fire safety film to be shown. Joan Nugent replaces Beth Macadam on this committee. A motion was passed to join the Hospital Medical Records Institute per instructions from the Ministry of Health. . The hospital received an invoice from Pine -wood Court for its share of the heating sys- tem renovation costs. A grant for two-thirds (2/3) of the invoice had been approved by the Ministry of Health but the hospital will have to raise funds for the remainder. The change -over from steam to hot water heating has gone smoothly with no adverse affects on pat- ient care. : The Administrator reviewed the fire safety report received in December. extinguishers will be purchased to compliment the present fire extinguishers and the Board ° has sent for estimating quotations on a 'com= plete sprinkler-system. continued page 8 ........
