Council Quotes = continued Councillor Brassard will take this matter up with the Police Department. He also asked if there was a by-law in town to cover children under the age of I6 being in public after a certain time in the evening. Clerk Hanley replied this was covered under the Child Welfare Act and as long as a child is with someone over I6 they are covered. Councillor Hale made the suggestion that in order to conserve energy this year people should be encouraged to use more displays and less lights for their Christmas decorations. The word "Sparkle" will be deleted from this years contest advertisement and "Christmas Decorative Display" inserted. The Hydro Commission will continue to sponsor this yearly contest. Councillor Megraw reported that damage had been sustained to a post at the Norwood Motel beyond repair. Council will reimburse the Motel in cash value rather than replacing this post. E Councillor Megraw also reported on an Urban Housing Development meeting he had attended. Although he found it quite interesting he did not feel it was geared to Fanicipal, Councillors attending. The regular, Council meeting was adjourned and an in-camera meeting held. The public is reminded that Council meetings are open to them and held the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month at the Municipal Office beginning at 7 p.m. LAKE SUPERIOR BOYS WIN N.S.S.S.A.A. On November I, I973 the Lake Superior Senior Boys valleyball team won the right to represent the Western Division to the N.S.S.S.A.A. Champ- ionship by defeating Geraldton and Nip-Rock sen -ior boys teams. team travelled to Marathon where they won the N.S.S.A.A. senior boys volleyball championship by defeating Chapleau High School. . Members of the winning team are: Pat Heen- an, Mark Dashkewytch, Mark Stokes, Craig Fischer, Rick Hamilton, Alex Vanderkam, David Ramsay, Ron Chicoine, Robert Vanderkam, Shane Walsh, Ed Zwaresh and coach Mr. K.
