Mrs. Soughton reminded everyone that Swift Co. and Costa's Foodmarket were presenting a Cooking School in the High School on Oct. 11th with Home Economist Martha Logan. Tickets were on sale and proceeds to go entirely to the Auxiliary. Mrs. Lundberg was asked to introduce a special guest, Mrs. Esther Anderson of Spring Lake, Michi- gan, who was on tour around the lake, stopping in Terrace Bay for a couple of days. Mrs. Soughton welcomed Mrs. Anderson to the meeting. The tea table was beautifully decorated in autumn colours. Mrs. L. Harris served lunch. T.B. POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT During the week October 8th-14th, the Terrace Bay Police Department investigated a total of twenty- four general occurrences. One minor hit and run accident under $50.00 was reported, seventeen motor vehicle spot checks were carried out, three Highway Traffic Act charges were laid and twelve cautions issued. FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR L., WILLIAMS Funeral services for Leanard K. Williams, who passed away suddenly in London, Ontario, were held at the Community Church on Tuesday afterncon October 10th at 2 p.m. Rec. P. McKague officiated with Mrs. M. Simmer at the organ. Mr. Williams, 60, had been employed at the Kimberly-Clark Mill for the past 24 years. He is survived by his wife Beatrice, and son Roy of London, daughter Joan, of Thunder Bay and grand- son Charles, as well as two brothers, Clem of Gatineau, Que., and Earl of Ottawa. Pall bearers were Earl Glad, Len Crockford, Lloyd Dejonghe, Eli Salesse, Bob Williams and John Santerre. Interment took place in the Terrace Bay Cemetery. Attending from out of town were son Roy and Alice Jean Williams, daughter Joan, Mr. and Mrs. Clem Williams and Mrs. Williams mother, Mrs. Brumm of Gatineau, Quebec.
