Captains Thorpe and Coupal have just about completed their negotiating of signing up hockey players for the hockey game which will be part of the opening event in the Winter Carnival and so put on your duds and we'll see you all at the Carnival. : HOSPITAL NEWS BULLETIN Some Questions and Answers on Hospital Member- ship: - Q. What is Hospital Membership? A. Accor- ding to Hospital By-Laws, members of the community may become Hospital Members on an annual basis by payment of a fee established by the Board of Governors. Each Membership entitles a person to attend the Annual Meeting (March 15, 1972) and vote in the election of the Board of Governors and on any other matter coming before the meeting. Q. Why should | become a Hospital Member? A. So that you may be involved in the affairs of your hospital and help elect a Board of Governors. Q. How much is the Hospital Membership Fee? A. This fee is being established and will be announced in a later bulletin. Q. When can | become a Member? A. The McCausland Hospital Board is. planning to hold two public meetings (to be announced shortly). Hospital membership will be available at the close of these meetings and also one hour before the Annual Meeting. We know you will have many other questions re- garding the public hospital and hospital membership The public meetings will be advertised in the Terrace Bay News, Store posters, at your Church and on at least one Radio Station. MISS SKI CLUB IS STARTER FOR DOWNHILL RACES Miss Ski Club, Celine Landry, was the official starter for the first downhill event of the Saturday morning race league. Celine, is the ski club's candidate in the Winter Carnival Queen Contest. All skiers must have been encouraged to greater heights by Miss Ski Club's presence as some excel- lent times were posted over a fast course. Results were as follows: = Boys Red Division: = Ist, R. Vanderkam, 2nd, P. Prinselaar, 3rd, C. Prinselaar. Boys Blue Division: = Ist, D. Klug, 2nd, G. Richards, 3rd, R. McBride. Girls Red Division: - Ist, Lori McBride, 2nd, M. Fisher, 3rd, L.A. McBride. Girls Blue Division: = 1st, C. Moore, 2nd, L. McBride, 3rd, A. Stephen. Next Saturday's race will be a slalom event. RECREATION NEWS JUNIOR BASKETBALL The second session of this year's Junior Basketball programme will be held this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the High School Auditorium. Partici- pants are urged to be on time for this session. SEWING COURSE A reminder to those who registered for the Sewing Course being instructed by Mrs. Margaret McKague that the last session will be held Tuesday, February 8th from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. in the Georgraphy Room of the Terrace Bay High School.
