The Royal Canadian Legion, Kakebeka Falls and Kinsmen Club of Schreiber, both made requests to sell lottery tickets in Terrace Bay. Both requests granted permission. Kimberly-Clark Pulp and Paper Company Ltd., advised council Phase one of the Lakeview Exten- sion is now completed, and Phase two will be under- taken in the summer of 1972. Accounts passed for payment were: Township, $138,385.18; Hydro, $11,851.92; Library $601.55 Recreation Committee, $8,240.26. Under new business, councillor R. Sinotte stated he had attended the regular fire practice of the fire department, with the chief and sixteen volun~ teers present. The resignation of R. Harris as a volunteer fore- man was regretfully accepted, and he will be re- placed in the new year. Reeve Cavanaugh was appointed to represent Schreiber and Terrace Bay on the Board of Directors of the Thunder Bay District Health Unit. Reeve Cavanaugh stated he was exhausting all avenues to find a suitable stopping place for the Greyhound Bus. Although the onus should be on the Greyhound Bus lines to find such a place, Reeve Cavanaugh is trying to come up with a solution. A lengthy discussion took place regarding the danger of operating snowmobiles on municipal streets, sidewalks and public grounds and parks, as well as the late night noise created by these machines. Very close scrutiny will be given to this situation and if the problem continues, stricter legislation will be adopted by council, in the best interest of all concerned.
