Mr, and Mrs, Harold Gillert and family and Mr. Herd Gillert spent New Year's in Ottawa with Mr. and Mrs, Tom Bourk GUIDES AND BROWNIES The ladies auxiliary to the Schraiber Guided and Brownies held their regular meeting in the Catholic Parish Centre and it wes decided to hold the annual Mother and Daughter Banquet on February 22. : Tt was also agreed to accept girls, who will be seven years old by May 30, into the first Brownie pack, Registre- tions may be made with Mrs, Aurel Major, Calena Street. Five girls were accepted in the first Schreiber brownie peck at a ceremony in the Catholic parish centre, the leaders being Mrs. Arlene Conley, Mrs. Lymn Boon and Mrs. Audrey McKay « : Mrs. Mary Shack, the commissioner, spoke briefly, saying a new division Girl Guides, to be known as the Superior Division is being formed. The following towns will be in=- cluded in it: Schreiber, Terrace Bey, Marathon, Manitouwedge; Caramet, Long lac, Geraldton, Nakina, Red Rock and Nipigone The new crest will have three.colours and the girls are asked to submit ideas for the new crest.
