PAGE 8 TERRACE BAY NEWS JUNE 23, 1971 T.B.P.S. = OUR TORONTO EXCURSION On a chilly sunny morning 29 pupils and 4 chaper- ones drowsily boarded the bus for a full day of excite- ment on a long journey to Toronto. We arrived in Toronto at 12:00 p.m. but spent another half hour looking for our retirement quarters. Finally after being escorted by the police we reached our destination. * The next day was filled with an e«citing journey to Ontario Place which had brilliantly coloured shops and restaurants. After supper we had a boat cruise of Toronto Harbour. Wednesday marked the tour of the Science Centre and this we especially enjoyed. This place was fill- ed with exhibits and restaurants. The Science Centre proved to be alot of fun, but by the time four o'clock arrived, we were tired. After this we headed back to our residence for supper and then on to the airport to see plans and tour the grounds. The airport was so big we got lost in there. Next day we toured Maple Leaf Gardens, City Hall, the Parliament Buildings, Riverdale Zoo, Casa Loma and Toronto Dominion Bank and then went shopping. Friday morning we were up bright and early and headed back to Terrace Bay. After five days most of us were completely exhausted but full of memories of Toronto. Our trip back was just as exciting as the one up, but the bus was somewhat more crowded from all the gifts that had been purchased while in the city.
