A copy of by~iaw 242, passed by Council under the authorization ot the motorized snow vehicles ,Act, was submitted to the Deparrment of Transport for approvai. The by-law reads: No person shall drive a motorized snow vehicle between the hours of midnight and seven a.m., along or over streets and highways in the Township. A letter from the Northwestern Ontario Develop- ment Council acknowledges receipt and thanks for the grant received from Terrace Bay. A resolution was passed to submit recommendations of Council with respect to the recent issue of Design for Development = Northwestern Ontario Region. SKI CLUB NEWS The first round of the Saturday morning race league was held on January 23rd. The racing was over a slalom course and the following skiers were winners in their division = Bob Hopper, Maurice Cadieux, Bill Megraw Jr., Danny Moore, Pat Megraw, Caroline Yates and Leslie McBride. Unfortunately, the second round of competition which was a downhill event scheduled for January 30th, had to be postponed until February 6th due to the biting coid weather. Here's fo rhe brave frozen skiers thar showed up to race anyway! With just one event run off, its not too late to enter the race league if you haven't yet signed up. Reminder = the 1st Terrace Bay Venturers are show- ing some films on_skiing for members of the Boy Scouts Association, Saturday February 6th at 7:00 p.m. in the Scout Hall. The Venturers have invited all members of the ski club to attend this film night. Here's your chance to ski with the experts and pick up some valuable pointers. CANADIAN LEGION MIXED BOWLING Standings to January 29, 1971. - Irish Regiment - 64; Corvettes = 53; Bombardiers = 51; Cameron Highlanders = 43 and Spitfirers - 41. We have just passed the half way mark in our schedule and with only twenty-three points separating the first and last teams, rhe oufcome is still very much in doubt.
