Boyd and Pat Jones of Terrace Bay. The Masonic Lodge is again donating use of their hall so that the ladies of the Legion may serve hot soup, home baked beans, chili con carne, hot dogs, coffee, hot chocolate, to mothers with child- ren who are unable to go into the Legion Hall and spectators who might be interested in a hot meal . A dance will be held in the Masonic Hall Saturday night, with live music. NOTICE The members of the Terrace Bay Youth Group regret fo announce that due to conflicting dates of other group activities, this year's Winter Carnival will be cancelled. However, we wish to express our thanks to all of the organizations that did come out to support us. WEEKLY REPORT FROM THE SCHREIBER DETACHMENT 0F THE ONTARIO PROVINCIAL POLICE During the past week two business premises were found insecure by officers of this Detachment. Business owners are requested to make certain all doors are locked and securely fastened before leaving. Telephone wires leading to a residence at Erie and Ontario Streets were pulled down on January 22, 1971 when they became entangled in a trailer owned by a local dairy. No damage was inflicted to the vehicle or residence-only the inconvenience of no telephone service. On January 23, 1971, a 10 x 22 tire, possibly Firestone, mounted on a salmon coloured rim was lost in the area of Hill 19. If anyone has any infor- mation on this lost property would they please con- tact the nearest O.P.P. Detachment. On the traffic scene there were two collisions resulting in approximately $1050.00 damage. A two car collision occured near the C .P.R. Subway on January 18, 1971 which was investigated by Provincial Constable C.R. Duffy, whena * vehicle operated by Michael Paul Caccamo, Sch- reiber was attempting a turn and was in collision with Joseph Speziale, Schreiber. Damage was sustained to both vehicles. On January 22, 1971, George Dale Archambault lost control of the vehicle he was operating east of Jackfish Lake and rolled over coming fo a rest.on its roof. No injuries occured, but the vehicle was badly damaged. Investigation was conducted by Provincial Constable D. B. Anderson. As the snowbanks increase in stature and visibility is becoming impeded at several intersections, area motorists are reminded of the contents of Section 68 of the Highway Traffic Act regarding turns.
