ACW DONATE DOLL TO SHINWAK MISSION The Anglican.Church Women, at their regular November meeting agreed to become patrons to the 4 Schreiber-Terrace Bay Association for the Mentally Retarded. : In response to their request a doll will be dressed and sent to the Shinwak Mission School in Sault Ste 'Marie for the children's Christmas party . Mrs. J. Davis, of Huntsville, wrote asking if the ACW could donate Altar cloths to the mission churches in Africa. She also reminded members of the annual meeting being held in Port Arthur in May lt was agreed to cater for a retirement dinner on December 2nd. Plans were completed for the Christmas tea-bazaar on November 22nd. Mrs. Jack Bryson and Mrs. Bob Winters were tea hostesses . CREDIT UNION ANNUAL MEETING The 19th annual meeting of the Schreiber District C.P.R. Employees Credit Union Ltd., will be held on November 21st at 7 p.m. in the town hall. Fol- lowing the meeting a social evening, from 8 p.m. to la.m., will be enjoyed, with dancing, refreshments and lunch. , CATHOLIC GIRLS CLUB NAME NEW CONVENERS At their November meeting the Catholic Girls Club agreed to not exchange gifts this year but in- stead to make donations to a charity. Elda Holland and Darlene Fummerton were welcom- ed as new members by Dale Sisson, the president. It was decided to send funds each month to support a family in India. New conveners named were Estelle Chicoine, mem bership; Debbie Cook, Spiritual; Cathy Stokes and Anne Marie McGrath, social. Estelle Chicoine was chosen to take part in the Christmas Midnight Mass as Queen Mother. The Christmas club social was planned for Decembe ] 27th. There were forty attending the meeting. Father J.M. Cano gave the opening and closing prayers.
