AUGUST 20 1969 Recreation Briefs - cont'd from page 4 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. -public swimming; 6.00 p.m to 7 p.m. - adult swim (21 years and over); 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. - public swimming. Starting Monday, August 25th, the schedule will be - 1.00 p.m. to 5 p.m. - public swimming; 6.00 to 8.30 p.m. - public swimming. On Saturdays and Sundays, the regular schedule will prevail, as follows: - 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. - pub-_ lic swimming; 6.00 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. - public swimming. The weather will determine the length of time the swimming pool is kept open, and we shall try to provide daily swimming on warm days, during the period after Labour Day. SWIM TESTS Begginers, Minnows, Tadpoles will be tested this Thursday, August 21st, at the regular class time. Pre-tests for Juniors, Intermediates, Seniors, Sur- vival and Intermediate Royal Life Saving will also be held Thursday during regular class times. Red Cross examiners will test those who have successfully passed their pre-tests on Friday, Starting at 11.00 - a.m. All candidates must be at the pool by 10.30 a.m. There is a charge of .25¢ per candidate to cover the cost of the examination. REMEMBER - Friday, August 22nd - at 10.30 a.m. for Red Cross Tests . COMING EVENTS Saturday, August 23rd - Horticultural Show, Terrace Bay Arena. Monday, September Ist - Labour Day Programme - Pulp & Sulphite Union, 665. MR. AND MRS, BROWN LEAVING FOR N.B. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Brown have left Terrace Bay to take up residence in Fredricton, N.B. Mr. Brown was with the Woodlands Division and Mrs. Brown was on the teaching staff of the Public School . Mr. Brown will study law at the University of New Brunswick, and Mrs. Brown will take her place as Social Worker on the staff of the Correction School for Boys. Two mission persons were located by a member of the Schreiber Detach- ment. There was one liquor investigation resulting in a seizure of liquor, the responsible party has been charged. One report was made of wilful dam- age. On the traffic scene, there were three motor vehicle collisions resulting in approximately $2665. including one fatal collision resulting in the death of one person. There were five charges laid 'inde the Highway: Traffic Act, two laid under the Motor Vehicle Accident Claims Act, and 20 warnings were issued for minor infractions and defective equipment.
