Congratu- lations bowlers! CURLING CLUB NEWS The regular ladies curling league play ended with the Peggy Wellings rink of Elizabeth McLeod, Betty Turner and Donna Gorham being undefeated in the Club Championship, O'Keefe Trophy, round with nine consecutive wins. Tied for second place with seven wins and two losses were the Betty Bouchard BAY NEV rink of Pauline Phillips, Dot Koski and Sandra Allen and the Mary Hale rink of Charlotte Scheuch- enpflug, Marj. Liebrock and Rhea Beaulieu. A * play-off was held with the Mary Hale rink being runners-up to the Club Champions. RECREATION BRIEFS - By D. .Courtemanche PUBLIC SKATING HOURS Friday April 4th - 1.30 to 3.30 p.m. & 7.00 to 9.00 p.m. Sunday April 6th - CLOSED EASTER SUNDAY . Monday April 7th - 2.00 to 4.00 p.m. Wednesday April 9th - 1.30 to 3.30 pm (Pre-school) 3.30 to 5.00 p.m. - open public skating NORTH SHORE INTERMEDIATE HOUSE LEAGUE | TOURNAMENT . This tournament, which was held last Saturday and | Sunday, in Schreiber and Terrace Bay, was won by Schrieber with Terrace Bay winning the consolation award. Teams participating in the tournament were from Marathon, Heron Bay, Schreiber and Terrace | i 'Bay. On Sunday afternoon in the Terrace Bay arena, Terrace Bay won the consolation series by beating | Heron Bay with a score of 10-2 and Schreiber won the "A" series by beating Marathon 9-5 in a very closely matched game until the final minutes of the | third period. It was a "fun" tournament; and the players all enjoyed the event. It is hoped that this tournament can be repeated next year. The teams wish to thank | the fans who came out and supported them during the | tournament. i JUDO - If you are interested in taking Judo instruc tions, please notify the Recreation Office (3542) . We have acquired the services of an instructor who is willing to take on this responsibility. A meeting wi will be held in the near future. SWIMMING AWARDS - During the school winter break, two Terrace Bay girls travelled to the Lake- head and passed their Red Cross Instructors awards . Congratulations to Jane Persson and Claire Belliveau on their accomplishments.
