Before consideration can be given to purchase of Crown Lands, more information regarding services must be . approved by Council. A $25. donation was sent to St. John Ambulance Association. Membership in the Ontario Mayors and Reeves Association was approved. Three representatives were authorized to attend the annual O.N.E.A.- A.N.E.V. Convention. A resolution was passed to purchase a new Police Cruiser from Spadoni Bros. Lid. More strict control regarding Snow-mobiles travelling along Township roads will be enforced. Only insured operators may drive along roads, under present legislation. A further appointment to the Recreation Committee, completing the number for the year was Mr. W. Meinyk. A notice of Managerial Grid to be held at Quetico Centre April 27 - May 2nd was discussed. The Minister of Social and Family Services ad- vised that W. Hanley was appointed as Administrator of Welfare for the Township. The Township of Schreiber approved the appoint- ment of H.J. Coe to.the District Board of Health. Future appointments will be made on a 2 year basis , Alternately with Schreiber and Terrace Bay. The Report for 1968 of the French Inspector was submitted. A letter was sent to the Recreation Committee advising of the appointments of Mr. J. Cumming, Mr. F. Anderson, along with Councillors R. Bray and W. Farrell.
