The hostess served luncheon to the members. President, Mrs. E. Gerow, opened the regular meeting of the Altar Society with prayers for world peace when they met at the home of Mrs. F. Legault on Thursday evening. Eight members responded to roll call with an article for the penny auction. Sec- retary Mrs. H. Legault read the minutes and corres~ pondence. A letter from Plum Grove Nurseries re- garding rose bushes to be replaced at the church and one from the Times Journal inviting the group to en- ter favorite recipes in the annual cook book contest were discussed.
