Geraldton boys, Wawa boys and girls and Terrace Bay girls' teams all took part. In the first game, Geraldton boys locked horns with the Wawa Vikings. The Geraldton team took the lead and maintained it to win the game 15-11. The second game of the best of three was kept close at the start of the game with an early tie. Wawa came up quickly to break the tie and held their lead to win the second game 15-9. Wawa started off strongly in the third game with a score of 3-0 but Geraldton organized themselves and tied it up. The play was dominated by strong hand blocks and quick recoveries.
