Whiteside and family who send their regards to district friends. Following a visit to Washington and with relatives in New Britain, Conn., Jack and Peggy went to Montreal where they spent a week at the home of her brother Don Miller. Expo is wonderful - says Peg - summing it up with 'we just can't say enough about it - everyone should see it." C.W.L. MAKES CONVENTION PLANS The C.W.L. meeting was held Sunday May 7 in St. Martin's Parish Hall. Mrs. Boudreau, president, chaired the meeting. Mrs. Ramsay spiritual convenor read an article titled "Tribute To Mothers". Plans were finalized for the coming convention and regis- tration of local members took place. The president, reminded the ladies of the membership tea which will take place on June Il. Also any member having used clothing for the missions can get the address from Mrs. Boudreau and Lakehead Freightways will deliver them free of charge. For those who were present to hear Mr. David Morgan, Director of Finance, Lakehead University, and Mr. Geoff. Watson, Fund Co-ordinator, there was an opportunity to gain a further insight into the expansion program for which the University is al- ready committed. Using a relief scale model of the existing and pro- posed campus, Mr. Morgan detailed the rapid growt and future development of the University, that will be second to none in Canada on completion. The Basic Degree Course in Arts and Science that opened in 1963 has grown and will continue to grow into a combined degree, honours and graduate courses together with unique program of technological courses in Forestry, Mining, Engineering and Nurs- i (continued on Page 4)
