Mor Té Serving The District April 6, 1967 COUNCIL QUOTES At last weeks' regular meeting of Terrace Bay Council the Reeve and members dealt quickly with a miscellany of routine business and correspondence before adjourning and re-assembling for a closed session. A discussion on appointment of an assessment officer (local) ended with members left to submit one name each at the next regular meeting when one will be chosen. SUCCESSFUL 'SPIEL HELD BY LADIES' CLUB Thirty-two rinks participated in the 13th Annual Ladies' Bonspiel over the past weekend. There were eleven home rinks, six from Schreiber, eight from Fort William, three from Red Rock and one each from Sault Ste. Marie, Heron Bay South, Wawa and Marathon . On Saturday evening the Bonspiel Banquet was held in the Moose Hall with nearly one hundred and fifty attending. The address of Welcome was given by Club President Mrs. Ollie Chapman, who introd- uced her executive before handing over to Bonspiel Chairman, Mrs. Louise Gavin, who introduced each of the attending rinks. Mrs. Gavin and Mrs. Lois Shubaly, Prize franchise to distribute gas here when it is made wow Chairman, then presented Novelty prizes ,with available was filed without comment.
