MARCH OF DIMES FEBRUARY 1ST Mrs.Alice Yates will head the Marching Mothers who will be making a door-to-door canvass on Monday, February lst (in the even- ing) on behalf of the Crippled Childrents Fund. Mrs.Yates said that plans are afoot to ex- pand the workshop in Port Arthur that would serve this branch area. Because of the cost and scarcity of the highly specialized staff needed to operate such facilities, these centres can only be developed on a district basis. However, any patient from Terrace Bay who needs such training will be taken to Port Arthur for it. It costs approximately $10,000 a year to operate such a centre and there are eight of them in Ontario. The Marching Mothers of Terrace Bay are out to see that every dib--- abled person in this district will get a proper chance in life and they hope citizens will support their efforts, The Knights of Columbus cordially invite everyone to the High School Auditorium at 8 P.M. on Friday Night when students from the high schools of Terrace Bay, Schreiber, Marathon and Nipigon-Red Rock will compete in the Public Speaking Contest sponsored annually 1) eau
