HERE AND THERE Mr. and Mrs. G. Drake attended the 25th wedding anniversary of Mrs. Drake's brother in Winnipeg. From there they went on visit Mrs. Russell Crook in Brandon. Mr. and Mrs. J. Campbell are in London with Mr. and Mrs. H. Prebushewski and enjoying a visit with their latest granddaughter Anne. Grandma Cosgrove has returned home from the Port Arthur General Hospital accompanied by her daughter Mrs. A. Verdoni. Mrs. J. Cebrario will hold an open recep- tion from 3 - 5 p.m., on Monday October 12th, in her home in honour of her daughter Marje, whose marriage to Melville Stanzel takes place in Holy Angels R.C. Church. Rev. Fraser Muldrew and Mrs. R.G. Macadam attended the Presbytery meeting in Pine Grove United Church, as delegates of St. Andrew's Church, while Mrs. Muldrew and the children who accompanied them, visited friends on Port Arthur. His old friends here were pleased to hear of Bill Herriot's promotion to branch manager of Bank of Montreal Toronto. Mrs. S. Shortreed of Emo and her grand- daughter, Miss Lois Mannaussau of Cook, Minn. visited Mr. and Mrs. bob Winters. Despatcher N. Wallace and operator M, Morgan are both in Terrace Bay Hospital. Mrs. A. Cosgrove accompanied her daughter Mantell to North Bay, where she enrolled in St. Mary?'s Academy, to take a business course. Miss Donna Slater, R.N. is the guest of he sister Mrs. D. Figliomeni. Miss Muriel Huard of Fort William spent a recent weekend with her parents. Mrs. J. Himvelspach of Neustadt Ont. and Miss Irma Henderson of Hanover have been recent guests of Mrs. M. Sainsbury. The Evening Group of St. John's Anglican Church will hold their tea and bazaar on October 31st. A farewell party at the home of Deah Fraser sur- prised Donna Fedorak prior to her departure for Winnipeg. Donna received luggage and best wishes from those attending. Father Cano spoke on the significance of the Living Rosary and Crowning of the Blessed Virgin, pageants which are given by the C.G.C. twice yearly; the coming one on October 25th. Plans were completed for a Bake Sale on October V7 and sale of Christmas Cards during this month. The Treasurer's statement was presented by Anna Fummerton and Diane Bingleton won the draw prize.
