THE WEST COAST HONEYMOON FOR COUPLE On Saturday, August First, the marriage of Maureen Alice, daughter of Edwin J. Morrill and the late Mrs. Morrill of Schreiber and Karlis Redins, son of Mrs.Lise Redins and the late Mr .Redins of Latvia, was solemnized in Holy Angels Roman Catho- lic Church by Rev. A. Greengrass, Godfather of the Bride. Miss Carole Lalonde was the organist. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a street length suit in fime white wool with a white fox collar, blouse of cotton lace, a veiled white velvet hat and white accessories. She carried a shower bouquet of sweetheart roses. The bride's sister, Mrs.Gordon McParland, atten- ded her, wearing a two-piece blue silk dress, blue hat of tulle and flowers and she wore a pink carna- tion corsage. Beast Man was Vilis Kovalevskis and Ushers were Bob and Steve McParland, neph ews of the bride. A wedding breakfast was served in the Schreiber Hotel and during the afternoon a reception in honor of the bride and groom was held in the Town Hall. Presiding at the Tea Table were Mrs. Ted Wilson, Mrs. Henry Greengrass and Mrs. Russell McBride. Mrs. Ambrose McGrath, also a sister of the bride, assisted in receiving wearing a black and white sheath, white hat and accessories and a corsage of white carnations. For a honeymoon at the West Coast the bride don- ned a travelling ensemble of pink lace and bengaline with matching topcoat. On their return the couple will make their home in Schreiber . Out of town guests attending the wedding included Mr.and Mrs.Vilis Kovalevskis, Mr.and Mrs.Albert Peterson, Erwin Birkoben, Janes Karlsons, Vilis Kukainis, Leon Aizpurvs and John Polysnki, all of Geraldton, Mr.and Mrs.A.Vinters and Gunnar Vinters, all of Port Arthur, Mr.and Mrs.Herman Josus of Terrace Bay and Father Alex Greengrass of Marathon. Mrs .Jim Smart won the grocery hamper raffled by the ladies' baseball league--the ticket drawn by Mervin Preniuk. Carol Mullner of Atikokan spent the weekend with Mr.and Mrs.L.R.McCuaig. Visiting with Mr.and Mrs. Bill Glad: have been Mr .and Mrs .Edgar Glad and son Lowell, of Detroit, and Mr.and Mrs.Donald McDonald of Ear Falls. | While on a camping trip in this area Mr.and Mrs. Shelley Zettler of London visited with Mrs .Frances Kerrigan and other old friends here. Phil Klug of Clarkson, Ont., is visiting Greg Morrill . Mrs.Tony Speziale has gone to Pictam to be with her husband who is taking a civilian instructor's course with the Cadets. Donald MacKenzie of Edmonton is visiting his aunt and uncle, Mr.and Mrs.Forbes Macadam. Shirley McCuaig of Toronto, Mr.and Mrs.Burke Trowsse and daughter D'Arcy of Dartmouth and Mr. and Mrs.R.C.McCuaig are visiting Mr.and Mrs. Lester McCuaig. NEWS August 6, 1964 Mrs .A.Rumley of Toronto has been visiting her daughter Mrs.Jack Bryson and family on Slate Is- land. Mrs.Georges Legault and son David of Mon= treal and J.D.Bryson are now holidaying there. Mr.and Mrs .Doug .Reynolds are vacationing in Kenora. Mr .and Mrs.Wesley Clemens and family have re- turned from their vacation when they visited rela- tives in Owen Sound area and enjoyed camping there, also taking in a night at the Stratford Theatre Janet Clemen is taking the advanced course at the Legion-sponsored track and field course at Lake view High School. Also attending the course are Nuriel Nesbitt and Danny MacDonald. Mr cand Mrs.Norman Eady of Ft.William are in their camp at Walker Lake. Mr.and Mrs.John Neino and family are camping in the Chapleau area. Lauri Halonen Sr., is visiting his son Peter and family and other relatives in Ottawa. Mrs.Gerry Lidkea and daughter Allyson of Fort William are camping at Walker Lake. Mrs .Edna Sutherland of Regina and Mrs.Henry Davis of Fort William are here visiting the Bill Lidkea and Ken Davis families. If your car is without seatbelts, your safety is in jeopardy.
