Mrs. W.G.Furlonger, Case Finding chairman, presented her report, including numbers of exrays and costs from April 1963 to March 1964, from re-' ferred clinics plus other costs. Social Service and Rehabilitation provided cloth- ing, eye glasses and Christmas gifts to San patients. Health Education Chairman, Mrs.R.G.Macadam reported film showings and pamphlets distributed to various organizations. Monies collected throughout the District from Christmas Seals was $5,347.61. L.R.McCuaig, Hon.Treesurer, reported that Mr.L. Schaan, Manager of the Bank of Montreal, Schreiber, had audited the books and found them correct. Mr .Fairbridge, in speaking of the work done by the Rehab .Centre, said in a hospital program the shortened stay in Sanatoria is being felt in the hos- pital programme for out TB patients. Only half the number of correspondence courses were given in 1963 (33) in number. The Sewing and Home Economics classes had full attendance. The Outboard Motor classes were discontinued due to a lack in the number of male patients who could benefit from such a class. Photo by |.McCuaig CPR BOWLING LEAGUE HOLD WINDUP The CPR Bowling League held their Annual Cabaret Dance and presentation of awards on May 23 in the Town Hall. Mr .R.Campbell was M.C. for the evening and pre sentation of awards was made by Mr.V.Everitt with the Everitt Trophy going to the teams of Mr.G.Green side, Mrs.L.Fadden, Mr.D.Tremplay, Mr.D.Q. Hamilton and Mrs.G «Madigan. Low score awards went to Mr.Chas.Pike and Mrs. D.Hill. Roll-off winners were Mrs. Elsie Ross with a triple high of 665; Mr.Jimmy Figliomeni with a triple high of 789. Men's high single also went to Jimmy with a score of 301. Women's high single went to Mrs .Ida Krause who had a 278. Members and their guests enjoyed an evening of dancing with music provided by "Flash" Bourk . COLUMBIAN SQUIRES PRESENT TWO FILMS On May 31st the Dean McHugh Circle of the Columbian Squires presented two educational films, "The Canadian Goose" and "The War of 1812". During the program John McParland was presented with the "Squire of the Year" award. The program was presented to the Knights of Colum bus and their wives and to the Columbian Squire Circle of Terrace Bay at the Communion Breakfast in the Guild Hall, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus , St. Edward's Council. The Knights, their wives and the Squires attended Communion in a body in Holy Angels' Roman Catho- lic Church.
