The duo of Paul Coupal and Gerrard Chicoine, two novice players, upset the top players from Manitou- wadge and Marathon. They received a beautiful trophy (now on display at the Legion) plus a suitably engraved stein. The other two teams did not fare too badly considering we have been handicapped due to lack of practice facilities. Despite handicaps, we won our first major trophy. Lets keep up the good work. ~~ Wednesday evening May 6th a good turnout was on hand at the general meeting to welcome our Zone Commander, Wally Lee from Marathon.
