GOODFELLOW BURIED IN FORT WILLIAM Services for the late Mr. William Henry (Harry) Goodfellow who passed away Thursday, December 19th, were held on December 22nd, at 1:30 by the Rev. T. Garnett Husser, in the Community Church. Led by the Church Choir, the congregation joined in singing "Unto the Hills Do I Lift Up Mine Eyes" and "0 Master Let Me Walk With Thee" during the service. Born and educated in Fort William, Mr. Goodfellow had been with Great Lakes Paper Company there before moving to Terrace Bay in 1948 to work for Kimberly-Clark Corporation. Active in civic affairs, he was an elder of the Community Church, charter member of the Community Crédit Union, member of Terrace Bay Masonic Lodge #662, and executive member local 665, International Brotherhood of Pulp, Sulphite and Paper Mill Workers Union. For the past three years Mr. Goodfellow had served as president of the Terrace Bay Horticultural Society. Acknowledging the late Mr. Goodfellow's readiness to lend assistance to fellow workers friends, Church or Town, Rev. Husser stated this man had truly earned the respect he received, Pallbéarers were Messrs. D. Brearley, R. E. Wallwin, A.R. Ostling, C. MacDonald, A. Farro and V. Hopper and Honorary Pallbearers were Messre. H. Coe, E. Young, W. Cringle and D, Whitley. Worshipful Brother E. A. Woods of Masonic Lodge 662 A.F. & A.M. conducted. a funeral service on December 21st in Gawley'ts Funeral Home, Schreiber, assisted by Rev.: Brother T.G. Husser, Very Worshipful Brother Rk, Scowen and Right Worshipful Brother H. Coe. The service was attended by immediate members of the family. Monday afternoon at 1:45 a service was conducted in Fort William by Rev. Husser befor interment in the family plot at Mountain View Cemetery, Fort William. From out-of-town to attend the Terrace Bay services with Mrs. Goodfellow were daughter an son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. T.R. Newton and Mrs. S. E. Newton of Uxbridge, Ontario, brother Mr. James Goodfellow and Mrs. Goodfellow, sister Mrs. W. Finlayson and Mr. Finlayson, Mr. Gary Goodfellow and Mrs. L. 'Dixon of Fort William, Mr. R. and J. Ball, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ball from Kakabeka Falls, Mr. and Mrs. C. Sparks, Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey Birch and Mr. Dale Sparkes of Schreiber. CHAMBER OF COMMERCE REPORTS A Council meeting of the Terrace. Bay Chambe of Commerce on December 19th, was pPesided ove by President, N. Cornthwaite in the Recreation Centre. Secretary D. Large read the minutes | of the previous meeting and correspondence and communications with the CBC were itemized and a report presented. A proposal was made to keep the present line of communication and continue requests from local residents for CBC radio service. Mr. W. Colborne reported on the Christmas outdoor lighting campaign being sponsored by the local Kiwanis Club. (Cont'd on Page 5)
