MUSIC RECITAL DELIGHTS AUDIENCE A delightful music recital was held last Wednesday in Holy Angels Guild Hall when pupils of Sister Alexander played the piano, the Gi rl's Choir and Cathy Stokes sang--square dan- cing was done by Grade 7 and 8 Boys and Girls of Holy Angels | School--Crystal Kuzuk and Alene Bedard presented accordian solos and talented Miss Lois Inshaw enthralled those present with her playing of Fascination Waltz and Prelude in G, From tiny tots to the more advanced teen aged pupils, the programme moved along at a well regulated pace and, interspersed as it was with variety numbers, showed capable management, During a break in the recital the follow- ing students who were successful in their piano examinations last June were presented with their Certificates by Reverend J,M,Canos Lois Inshaw, Jane Syvitski, Bill Scott, Betty Anne Rowson, Diane Rummery, Velma LeBlanc, Ellen Knight, Jane Heenan, Anna Fummerton, Louise McGooey, Anna Spadoni, Michael Vali- quette, Patrick Spadoni, Ronald Matuszak, Jane Coleborne, Betty Reid, Linda Hayes, Catherine Austin, Cora Spadoni, Linda Nes- bitt, Denise Matuszak, Debbie Anderson, Jane Valiquette, Stanley Spadoni, Teddy Paget, Michel LeBlanc, Brenda Lalonde. JOHNS AMBULANCE ASSOCIATION TO Bz FORMED Last Saturday a group interested in form- ing an association to sponsor St. John Ambulance work met in the Rec. Centre. Officers elected were: Mr. L. Crandlemire Chairman, Mrs. D. Rumery - Vice Chairman, Mr. A, W. Cuthbertson, Treasurer and Secret- 'ary Pro Tem - R. Wills. Area Field Representative will assist these Mr. Fred Farwell, officers. Tentative plans call for the formation of a Brigade in Terrace Bay. PAT SYVITSKI FETED BY KNIGHTS | Over fifty members of St. Edward's Council} of the Knights of Columbus were on hand at the last regular meeting in Terrace Bay when | the Council chose the occasion to honour Pas Grand Knight, Past District Deputy, the first Grand Knight and one of the founders of St. Edward's Council, Bro. P.J. (Fat) Syvitski. Tribute to Bro. Pat, who is soon to leave the district, came from Bro.
