Reports were given by Mrs,L.Walker, Sew- ing Convenor; Mrs, W.Cringle on cards sent to the sick and Mrs, B,Scott on Cradle Roll work, A Shamrock Tea is planned for Saturday, _ March 19th in the Church Hall, to be convened by Mrs.B,Scott, Further plans were made for the Smorgasbord to be held in the Town Hall on April 30th, Lunch was served following the meeting with W.M.S, members as guests,' Lunch hostesses for the April meeting are, Mesdames R. Crook, H,Hart, J.G.Scott and W.Cringle. | JUDY OLSON CROWNED MISS ROCK-A-TEEN Miss Judy Olson, daughter of Mr.& Mrs. W. Olson was chosen Miss Rock-a-Teen at the Teen Club Teen Queen Contest on Friday March 4th, Other contestants were Miss Brenda Lidkea and Miss Sandra Kragero, In the closely contended contest each girl _ appeared in a bathing suit and formal dress | and each gave an autobiography of herself and _ displayed a talent. Sandra Kragero gave three piano selections, Brenda Lidkea a monologue ' "Beulah at the Ball Game" and Judy Olson dis- _playea her tap dancing ability, During the _ evening Miss Lois Inshaw rendered selections on the piano, Allan Holmes acted as Master of Ceremonies and Vincent Tookenay, club Presi- 'dent, spoke briefly, TERRACE BAY NEWS March 10,1960 The 1959 Teen Queen, Miss Sharon Gellert, crowned the new Queen, Acting as judges were Mrs, D,Caldwell, Mrs, R.H.Skinner, Miss E. Ballard, Mr.Geo.Riley and Mr, R.Turner. A dance followed, with parents and friends as gue sts. Miss Joyce Graham, student nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital, spent the weekend as a guest of Sharon Gellert, Mrs. W.D.Graham and Christie of Ft.William, visited in town this week, the guest of Mr, & Mrs. Harold Gellert. Mr.& Mrs, Geo,Etches have as their guest Mrs.Etches! Mother, Mrs,E,Waywell of Rosemount Montreal. Mrs.Albert Morris entertained in honour of her daughter Laura's 12th birthday. An en- joyable time was spent sliding, later return- ing for a delicious spaghetti supper complete with the traditional birthday cake. Guests were Muriel Nesbitt, Charlotte Ross, Joanne McCuaig, Ann Noonan, Susan Caldwell, Louise Halonen, Daryl Lynn Weaver, Lorraine Bedard, Barbara Arnold and Mary-Ellen Gerow. The W.M.S. of St.Andrews United Church met last Wednesday evening in the Church for their monthly meeting. The President, Mrs.H,Davis officiate. A report on the W.M.S,. Annual meeting held in Ft.William on February 10th was given by Mrs.N.S,.Smith.
