CHILDREN DIE IN FIRE That headline has run in newspapers in hundreds of communities large and small throughout Canada almost every day of the year. 1960 was only a few hours old when we heard of a fire and five children lost their lives. Radio gave a grave account of the fire and T-V painted the grim pictures. Terrace Bay has one of the lowest fire losses in Ontario for our population. We have not had a major house fire-in the past eleven years nor have we had a loss of life from fire or a fireman hurt working at a fire during that time. Let us keep the record that way and keep our town entirely free from fire during 1960, The Terrace Bay Fire Department wishes to thank all citizens for their co-operation in 1959~-keeping our fire losses down to almost nil and also for your fine co-operation with Christmas trees in your homess With such help we can continue to keep our fire losses down in 1960, Let us work for a brighter, safer and fire free community, ROAD PROGRAM (Cont'd from Page 1) GOLDPINES to Uchi Lake -- SPruce River Road-- Other Resource Development Roads,
