The members were asked to save Betty Crocker box tops' to be turned over to Mrs, F,.Cruickshanks before November 29th. The C,W.L, accepted the resignation of Mrs, J.Marcella as third Vice President and Citizenship Convenor. Her post was re- placed by Mrs, E,Pineault. to get their families together to say the Rosary. Catholic Mothers were asked to attend the Girl Guide Association meetings. Lunch was served by the October Committee at the conclusion of the meeting, CUBS ACCEPTED IN SCOUT TROOP CRREMCSY Bringing the total enrolment up to an even forty in the First Terrace Bay Scout Trogp, another 'Going-Up! ceremony was held on Sept.25th, when five Cubs were accepted from the Mowgli Pack by Scout Master Bill Megraw. Accompanied by Baloo Ed Pineault in the- absence of Akela Roland Wills, the Cubs were: Lyle Nicol, first star and was _a.second; Kenneth Woods, 1st star; Donald Pryor, sixer, two badges; Scot Wade 2nd Star, 12 badges, senior sixer; Billy Shivas 2nd' star, 13 badges, senior sixer. It might be noted that though rather un- usual, this Cub Pack boasted two Senior Sixers. If you are an old curler we'd be glad to have you back; if you've never curled before we'd be most happy tc show you how it is done. The ice will be ready around the end of the first week in November anc regular curling will start about Nov. 15th, Prix to the 15th ice will be available for practise -- games and practise shots with veteran curlers o1 hand to give pointers, We know of at least a dozen novices that have signified their intentic to curl this year so don't be backward, Next week!s News will carry an application form -- simply fill it.in - and you're in, Dues are $20.00 per annum - $10.00 payable in November & Members were asked the other ten in January. The curling season runs from Nov..15th to the end of March with th Annual Bonspiel in April. | Ed Pineault, who will be unable to curl thi year, has resigned from the Board of Directors.
