LARGEST ART CLUB CELEBRATES FOURTH ANNIVERSARY Help us celebrate on May 3lst, at the High School Auditorium (afternoon 2 - 5 p.m., evening 7 -- 11 p.m.) Our paintings will be on display, and you are cordially invited to attend. Refreshments will be served. Silver collection, Besides work from Schreiber, Marathon, Red Rock, and local schools, we were fortunate in securing the Lakehead Art Association's Travelling Exhibit. We feel sure it will be well worth your attention, We are pleased to know that some of you have been asking if any of the paintings exhibited will be for sale, This makes us feel that we have "really arrived!" And the answer is "Yes". Just ask the person whose painting you are interested in, and you will find that our paintings are not too expensive, in fact very reasonable. For those of you who would like a chance to win a painting, we are raffling an oil painting, which can be seen on display at the "L& L". Tickets are 25¢ or 5/$1.00. If you haven't been sold one yet, just ask any member of the art club, or you may purchase them at the exhibition. It is to be raffled at 10 p.m. Saturday night, but you don't have to be present to win. There will also be a door prize. We had planned to have our exhibition May 30th, but due to the Eastern Star Card Party will open on the 3lst, and in case you can't make it then we'll remain open 2 - 4 the afternoon of June lst. Saturday night at 6:30 p.m, they play the East Ends at McKellar rark. On Sunday over at the stadium in Fort Arthur at 2 p.m., they play the Husky-Giants. For a week-end of good entertainment be sure to see our team in action at the Lakehead if you have the opportunity.
