Sponsored by a Committee headed by P, E, Mazza-assisted by Doctor D.J.M. McCausland, P. E. Boudreau, L. G. Waghorn, J.J.Moro, B, Louk, S. Keller and J. Cumming, plans for the event are progressing fa'rour-- ably, At the time of writing, it is ex- pected that Dave Groombridge cof Port Arthur will be in attendance to perform his magical tricks, Dave is considered outstanding in his acts and will be a great help on the entertainment programme. Tickets may also be procured at the door, After completing his high school studies in Winnipeg, Hugh joined the Navy in September of 1939, in which branch of the: service he remained for five years and ten months. As a result, Hugh has been their respected friend, To further help them in their enjoyment of winter sports, Hugh took great pride with his past winter's efforts in producing with the assistance of his neighbours and friends behind his home and those of his neighbours a scenic Winter Wonderland where the youngsters enjoyed skating and toboggan sliding. In serving the local needs, because of his past hockey experience, Hugh accepted the position of Coach of the Terrace Bay Superiors as well as the Chairmanship of the Minor Hockey League. For the past two seasons, Hugh has assisted in formally opening the softball schedule, Again in the better interest of youth, Hugh is a staunch booster of the Kiwanis Crippled Children Fund. He has served as Chairman of the campaign for the area for the past two years and took an active role in the search for funds for the needy.
