The art- ists appearing thrilled their audience with such music as the Fourth Movement D Major Sonato by Handel, Toccato and Fugue D Minor by Bach-Tausig, . O Don Fatale by Verdi and Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 by Liszt. On the lighter side were: I Wonder as I Wander, Brother Will Brother John, I'11 Walk Beside Thee by Alan Murray, Song of Putsza by Bela and even a parody of Jack and Jill, The evening's songsters were Miss Martha Thomson and Mr. John Ford Taylor, Miss Thomson was a most talented young lady whose selection of songs bespoke a repertoire both wide and polished, Mr, John Ford Taylor, a young and aspiring tenor, rendered his'. pieces with ease, The instrumentalistswere also a delight to the listener, Miss Patricia Dron, petite, poised and pretty, amazed her audience with the technique she had acquired at the tender . young age of sixteen, Last, but decidedly not least, Miss Mary McDonald, an exceptional entertainer who explained each piece she played in such a manner as to mark it for- ever in your memory, This young lady was extremely-well-accomplished, holding all en- raptured with her technical capabilities or rollicking at her humour, We certainly hope to see more of these young people as they advance along the ladder of their careers, 0-0-0 RECREATION FLYER BASKETBALL Monday and Thursday nights at 8:15 in the High School Gym are the practise times.
