Gordon Verge was top man of the evening, defeating J. Stitt in the opening mens singles, and then going on to beat Rich Wilson, former New Ontario Mens Singles Champion, in the third set, The second set, a mens singles, between Rich Wilson and Bobby Everett, a sixteen year old junior, was a real crowd pleaser, _oing thirteen games before the more ex~ perienced wilson was able to draw ahead of his flashy and determined opponent. A ladies singles, between Mrs, Val Locking and Terrace Bay's Mrs, Laura Dawson, game going to Mrs. Locking, and a mens doubles rounded out the evening. Entertainment for the visitors Saturday night, was orovided at Hotel Terrace. Interclub games were. played Sunday after~ noon at the local courts, and the two day visit ended with a buffet style lunch served at the large meeting room by the Terrace Bay Tennis Club, Many thanks are due to Ivy Pattison, Blanche Acal, Doris Lindskoog and Laura Dawson who hosted the luncheon with great success, A return tournament has been lavined at Marathon this Saturday, beginning at 1:30 pem.
