AROUND THE TOWN (Cont. ) games, The bride-elect received many lovely and useful gifts. Luncheon was served by the hostesses assisted by Emily Fedyszyn. Miss Marlene Steen spent a weeks holiday with her parents Mr. and Mrs, Je Steen before leaving Sunday for Dryden to work in the office of Dryden General Hospital. Mr. Edward Winstone arrived from Bristol England to spend a few weeks with his daughter and son-in-law, Ursula and Roland Wills, id Zielke returned last Thursday from his trip to Beausejour, Man. where he was the guest of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Zielke. He also visited his sister and brother-in-law, Lt. and Mrs, Ed Hogan at Winnipeg recently returned from a 3 year term in England with the Re. Ace, While in Winnipeg he also visited his brother, Fred Zielke in Deer Lodge Veterans Hospital, pending an operation. o=0-0 HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY On Friday evening, June 24th, the last meeting of the season was held in the Recreation Centre. The attendance was not what had been hoped for but those present decided to continue with our plans to hold a Horticultural Show of local fruits, flowers and vegetables on Saturday, August 27th in the High School Auditorium, Prize lists and entry forms are being printed and will be distributed to all members in the near future so plan now to exhibit in every class possible and help to make our first show a real success, The highlight of the evening was the showing of a set of very beautiful slides of the flower gardens in Assiniboine Park, near Winnipeg, Man.
