Beverley Dodge and Gail Slattery were initiated into the Pack, The girls were brought to the Toadstool by Sixer and Second Darlene Gombola and Veronica Fedun., Beverley and Gail are now full fledged Brownies and have joined the Kelpies, This solemn and interesting ceremony beside the:Toadstool was wit- nessed by a number of Local Association Members, mothers and friends. After the initiation there was a work period where one group sewed, another learned about knots and another learned about signalling with flags. These girls are a serious group when working and are quiet and attentive when their leaders are talking, BUT-- when the games and playing starts that's a different story!) Almost everyone has something to say - at the same time, of course - each having their own favorite game and song. Brown Owl Meek says a few magic words to which the pack responds - and there is absolute silence (Can't recall what the magic words are, Mothers}) The Brownie meet is a delightful combination of learning and relaxing, with fun injected here and there. we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and wish Brown Brown Owl Meek, Tawny Owls K,. Anderson and Knauff lots of luck, They, with the other Brownie Leaders and Guide Leaders, are doing a wonderful service to our community. NOTH: The 2nd Pack of the Terrace Bay Brownies have room for three Tweenies. The lst Pack of the Terrace Bay Brownies wish to announce there will be no more recruits until September, c-0-0
