Bay vs Schreiber at Schr, GERALDTON VS TERRACE SUPERIORS Geraldton scored a double shut-out (the first in the League) over the under-staffed Terrace team last week-end at the Errington Arene, Geraldton, The Saturday affair started out with (eonts 4n next-46)..) Page 6 GERSLDTON VS TERR..CE SUPERIORS cont, the impression that the Terrace boys would sive the Miners a run for their money. But as time wore on, so did our under-manned team. Plagued with injuries, and with the loss of players due to pressing family matters, Terrace soon were ground to the ice by the hard skating, pass clicking team from Gerald- ton, and at the game's end, Geraldton were at the long-end of anll-O score, Sunday's game seemed to be a repetition © of the Saturday affair -- Geraldton once again winning by the score of 11-0. ' These scores do not in any way cast a dull light over the playing ability of our surviving players nor do they tend to make Geraldton a power-house on skates. But for our team I will quote a famous saying of the last war with variaticn to suit. NEVER HAVE SO FEW DONE SO MUCH FOR SO MANY FOR SO LITTLE, SCHREIBER VS MARATHON At Schreiber Saturday night the Diesels out-played, out-checked and out-classed the mighty ereen and white herd from Marathon by the tune of 4-2, This game, according to a Schreiber fan, was one of the best he had seen.for two seasons (the last time Schreiber beat Marathon), But never-the-less due res- pect must be paid to this newly rejuvenated team from the R.R. centre (imports and ell). They fought hard, skated fast and shot with accuracy. Their top Defence Duo of Ross and Cos- grove playec one of their better games with a Stellar 60 minutes of hockey. Few penalties were handed out, and all in all it was a hockey game not a slue-fest we witnessed, a real crowd pleaser.all the way round. May we see more of the same brand of hockey in our league in the future, HOUSE LE/.GUE In last night's House League games No, 4 Shift and No, 2 Shift played to a 4-all tie while Maintenance and No, 1 Shift played a 5-all ties 0-0-0 KIWANIS ANNUAL WINTER CARNIVAL Saturday, 2lst of February will be the date. Further dctails next week but we hope to have Red Rock Fee Wee and Bantam Hockey teams at Terrace Bay to do battle royal with our teams, There will be, we hope, the Fancy Dress Contest, figure skating and ice races as well, Now is the time to prepare for these events, Your Kiwanis Club 0-0-0
