BASEBALL & SOFTBALL Last Sunday afternoon we had lots of activity at the local ball diamond, but much to our dismay, we did not fare too well on the afternoon's competition. In the first game with Bryan's, the ladies dropped a close one by the score of 5 - 4, thot was real dandy ball game and the victory could easily have gone either way right down to the last out. Later in the afternoon, the Baseball Boys took on Schreiber, who were using a ' couple of "imports" from the Lakehead for the contest and we took that one on the nose to the tune of 14 - 1. In the evening the ladies had an- other chance at Bryan's and were doing right well along to the 5th., inning, when Bryan's had a big splurge and scored 12 runs. The game ended with the score at 15 - 0, however if Terrace Bay had a relief pitcher to put into the second game, the story would have been quite different, as it was, using the same pitcher for two games is quite a chore for anyone. 0-0-0 BADMINTON At the innual meeting of the Bad- minton Club held in Teen Town on Wed, .ug. jth., a new Executive wis elected for the 1950-51 season and are as follows: Gordon Paget - President; Clarence Buck - Vice President; Monty Paget - Secty.
