Elvish of K.V.P., Espanola, and H. Wallis of Brompton, Red Rock onan exchange of information pertaining to problems common to Kraft Mills in this area. Some of those chaps who moved out to Terrace Beach for the summer and com-= mute daily to their work at the Mill certainly have their own unique type of recreation out there, We have a report on their latest encounter with some real wild game, It seems that a young bear, of 200 pounds, had been bothering them frequently for the past couple of weeks, So about 5 AM the other day Hugh Brophy was awakened by some noise and thinking it was some of the boys from one of the other cottages having a little horse-play, he arose and sought refuge in one of the other cottages. A short while later, Ray Blanchard was awakened by a Similar noise and upon looking out his window, came face to face with Mr. Bear. Ray exercied his lungs to good advantage and "Little Joe" Campbell came a-running with his trusty carbine. Calmly giving instructions to Ray to lie down on his bed and to keep his head out of his line of fire, he took a steady bead and shot Mr. Bear right thru the window. Upon checking several manuals on the hunting of wild game we find that there have been several Hundreds of bears shot in the last fifty years, and esch shot ina different place, but this is the first one on record to be "shot in the window",
