The parish will also include the missicns of Jackfish, Rossport and Hydro Camps). Appointed by Bishop Dignan tc St. Martin's Parish as its first parish priest is Rev. Father James Delaney, who celebrated his first Mass at Terrace Bay cn Sunday, September 6th. Father Delaney was born at Chapleau, Ontaric, where his father was a C.P.R. trainman., Father Delaney reccived his primary and secondary education at Nerth Bay, following which he attended college at Kitchener, Montreal and London. He was ordained as a priest in 1940. His first appointment was to Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, from which he was transferred to Temagami, where he was stationed for 4$ years, during which much cf his time was spent on the Indian Reserve at Bear Island. Prior to his appoint- ment to Terrace Bay, Father Delaney was located at Wawa. Following the Terrace Bay visit, the party will tour the Hydro Aguasabon project and then continue to the Lakehead where Premier George Drew will address a banquet in Port Arthur on the subject: "The Develop-~ ment in Northwestern Ontario", Mr. Drew plans to fly to the Lakehead from Torcnto, This information was relayed by telephone from F. D. Tolchard, General Manager of the Toronto Board of Trade to Don Murie, Secretary-Manager of the Fort William Chamber of Commerce. The trip is under the joint auspices of the Fort William and Port Arthur Chambers of Commerce, wea CHURCH SERVICES The following church services will be held in the Recreation Centre at Terrace Bay on Sunday, September 14th. 9:00 a.m. Terrace Bay Community Church. The service will be conducted by Rev. A. F. Lavender of Schreiber. 10:30 a.m. Roman Catholic Mass. Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Father James Delaney of St. Martin's Parish, Terrace Bay. as et ante FISH AND GAME ASSOCIATION BANQUET Plans are going ahead for the first Annual Fall Banquet of the Terrace Bay Branch of the Thunder Bay District Fish and Game Associaticn, The banquet will be held in the Lower Camp Cafeteria = Recreation Building at 7.15 p.m. on September 24th. Guest speaker for the occasion will be Randolph Peterson, who is presently en- gaged in the study cf moose on St. Ignace Island for the Royal Ontario Museum, Dept. of Zoology, From all reports, Mr. Peterson has a very interesting story tc tell and he will bring with him a number of 35 mm.
