This is the first effort at what will be a regular for and about Cameron. If you have any news or announcements don’t hesitate to let me know. You’ll spare the bloodhounds some cold winter trots. Our community club sponsored a Halloween dance at the Community hall. Music was supplied by organist Eric Gaiger complimented by his wife with vocals. The Gaigers hail from the Lakehead. The costumes, we hear, were 'out of this world.†Prize winners were Kay Pesola, Mr. and Mrs. D. Haig, Paul Kendall, Jeannette Leclerc and Chris Stewart. Agnes Boyle was guest of honor at a bridal shower held recently at the community hall. Agnes became Mrs. Norman Arril Saturday, Nov. 5. The wedding was held in Port Arthur. Shower hostesses were Mrs. Elsie Sutherland, Mrs. Betty White and Mrs. Jemmetta Denford. There were 55 guests attending. From out of town were Marilyn Beaucage of Port Arthur, Mrs. K. Crammer, Mrs. R. Larson, Mrs. Bob Wesner, Eleanor Klyne and Mrs. C. Danihur, all of Nipigon. Our population increased by two this week. Mrs. Geo. Grant (Lorna) now has a new son, a brother for George Jr., Bruce and Linda. Mr. and Mrs. Stan Coral are the proud parents of their first child, a daughter, Cathy Joan. Mrs. Coral is the former Trudy Zavidoski. Trudy taught at St. Edward’s school in Nipigon until last year. The senior room at die school took on the responsibility of collecting for the UNICEF Children’s Fund the day after Hallowe’en. Under the direction of their teacher Pat Jones, their willing enthusiasm brought in $22.32. Nice work class for an excellent cause. Remember Open House at die school Wednesday night, Conservation Club meeting Monday night, sewing Tuesday night and who need remind our enthusiastic bowlers of Thursday night?
