- This is a black and white print of the Battle of Lake Erie. The title is printed on the bottom along with Johnson & Miles Publishers, New York and a quote that states “If a victory is to be gained I’ll gain it”.
This print shows Oliver Hazard Perry transferring from the US Brig Lawrence to the US Brig Niagara. It was entered according to an Act of Congress in 1877 by Johnson & Miles in the office of the Librarian of Congress at Washington and was painted by W.H. Powell. - Publisher
