- Description
- This is a bible, titled “The Holy Bible: containing the Old and New Testaments: together with the Apocrypha” with a brown leather cover that was printed in 1814 by M. Carey, Philadelphia. The genealogy pages are no longer in the bible but it is believed to have been the family bible of Daniel Kerr Servos. There is also writing on the inside cover that is difficult to decipher. This bible illustrates what version of religious text was used by the family and perhaps similar to what other families used during the time of the War of 1812.
