- This document is a bill of account between Lieut. Leonard and Dr. Jonas Abbot in Kingston on July 11, 1814. The items listed are sugar, paper, a toothbrush and brandy with a total amount of 1 pound, 5 shilling, 3 pence.
It is believed that Dr. Abbot owned a store in Kingston at this time.
Lieut. Leonard was from the 104th New Brunswick Regiment that was raised in 1803 and sent to Upper Canada where they participated in the battles of Sacket's Harbor, Beaver Dams, and Lundy's Lane, the blockade of Fort George, and the assault on Fort Erie. - Date of Original
