Description
This is an image of the "Chopping Block" tombstone that is located in St. Mark's Cemetery in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The tombstone belongs to Charles Morrison who is believed to have been a United Empire Loyalist. This tombstone was allegedly used by the US army, during their occupation of the town in 1813, to butcher animals to feed the soldiers stationed in the area.
